Easy Food Swaps

Since I swap out many ingredients to make meals *friendly* for those of us with food intolerance, thought I would go over a few that I have used in the past. For the most part you will not even notice a difference in taste.

Once again, please, always look at your labels to make sure a product meets your needs!

I frequently use Mrs Dash products and Bells Salt Free Turkey seasoning (for everything, not just turkey!)

I do not use the immitation salt products available at the market. To me they do not taste like salt, but rather like something that dripped out of an old car. I try to heighten other flavors in the recipe with additional dry seasonings and cooking methods like browning and deglazing. Please see my post regarding getting flavor without salt, where I explain some of my techniques.

Please comment below on food swaps you might make. I would love to hear from you and possibly learn a new trick!
